I received a letter from First Performance Recover Corp. It was addressed to the wrong first name but correct last name and correct address.
The letter stated that I owed their creditor $2,225.76.
I called the 800 number, they asked for the last four digits of my SS#. They explained that the letter was in error.
I requested a confirmation from them stating that this matter was resolved. The person hung up on me.
I called back asking for the supervisor, made the same request... They told me it was against the law to open a letter with the wrong first name, and that it was a Federal offense. They hung up on me.
This is undoubtedly a scam, and should be brought to the attention of the FBI. |

| One late night, I received a call from an unknown staff from First Performance Recover Corp.They told me that I incurred a huge debt that I should pay immediately. It was strange since I only remember having a $500 credit from a purchase from credit card.Thing is , I paid half it which brings it down to less than $300.The following day I traced the number in directory and guess what! They said I owe $3,0000 which is really ridiculous. I think this firm is a scam and should be dealt with by the law immediately. I'll make a complaint soon. |

| I settle a debt back in sep/05 and I keep receiving collection letter from other companys on the same debt. I tried to contact FPRC but it seams they are not in business, I paid the debt with a check and have a copy of it. I hope that the FBI gets involved in this soon. |
